Cala Andragó Moraira

Cala Andragó Moraira

There are coves that we visit once and forget, and there are others that force us to return calmly. Cala Andragó Moraira belongs to this second group: an accessible Mediterranean corner, with a pleasant atmosphere and a very "Moraira" mix of sea, rock and nearby life.

In this guide to Cala Andragó Moraira we are going to tell you everything, really: exact location, how to get there without complicating ourselves, what we are going to find on the shore, what plans work best depending on the time of year and what details make the difference to enjoy it as it deserves.

Where is Cala Andragó located in Moraira

When we talk about Cala Andragó Moraira (also spelled as Cala l'Andragó), we are referring to a cove located in one of the most pleasant areas of the Moraira coast, between well-kept residential areas, a promenade and services just a few steps away.

Ctra. Moraira a Calpe, 170, 03724 Teulada, Alicante

The interesting thing about this point on the map is that it is not a "lost" or hidden cove that we reach after a long walk, but a very comfortable place to visit, especially if we go with family, if we don't want to complicate things or if we are looking for a beach plan that combines swimming and good food without moving the car.

Even so, and here is the important nuance: although it has that accessible and urban point, Cala l'Andragó retains the essence of the Costa Blanca: clear water when the sea is calm, rocks to explore and a Mediterranean panoramic view that reminds us why Moraira is so engaging.

How to get to Cala Andragó in Moraira

Access by car to Cala Andragó Moraira

If we come by car, getting to Cala Andragó Moraira is easy. The area is connected by usual roads of the municipality and is accessed by the Moraira road to Calpe. We leave from the centre of Moraira, take the coastal road towards Calpe. It is the Moraira → Cap Blanc → Calpe section. About 2 km from the center, we will see the signposted area of Cala Andragó / Cala l'Andragó.

Practical clue: in that same area there are several well-known restaurants next to the cove; it is a good "visual sign" that we are arriving

To park near Cala Andragó Moraira, the most practical thing to do is to try to find a place in the streets and parking spaces of the Cap Blanc area, a few minutes' walk from the cove. In high season it is advisable to arrive early or go in the late afternoon, because the gaps fill up quickly. If we can't find a place, a good alternative is to use the underground car park in the area (Parking L'Andragó) or park in the centre of Moraira and walk there.

Walking to Cala l'Andragó

You can walk from Moraira to Cala l'Andragó, and it is a fairly common walk. In general, you go parallel to the sea through the Cap Blanc area, following the coastal road (the CV-746, the one that connects Moraira with Calpe).

In a large part of the route there are promenades/pedestrian areas and "sidewalk" sections next to the road, because it is an urban-residential axis with restaurants, accommodation and access to coves.

Even so, as it is a coastal road, there are sections that can be narrowed: the sensible thing to do is to always walk inland, in a row if there are several of you, and with special attention at sunset/night.

What is Cala Andragó Moraira like

It is a cove with a Mediterranean character, where the rock has a presence and where the charm is precisely in that mixture of jagged coastline, transparent water and corners to explore.

It is not an infinite beach to play football on the shore, but a more secluded place. That's why, on days of maximum occupancy, it shows. But, in return, it offers a more "cove" experience.
